Instruction
I have taught library skills to a variety of students including high school students, undergraduates, graduate students and library staff. I have taught or assisted with over 20 class sessions.
My statement of teaching philosophy centers around the importance of engagement and building library classes for students with a variety of learning styles.
Here is an example of a staff training I developed along with members of the University of Wisconsin College Library staff. I designed the presentation using Prezi.
In addition to course instruction, I was asked to redesign the presentation for the University of Wisconsin Communication A library session. This session is attended by 70% of freshman at the University.
